No bakery is in a better position to ask the question, How much do you love our bread? And that’s exactly what Sonoma is doing. This inviting question forms part of a drive to connect with the Sonoma-loving public.
Already, the answers have provided some little gems. Like the tale of passion that comes from Stephen:
As a flight attendant for Qantas for nearly 17 years, Stephen has travelled the world many times over. His family has always shared a passion for great bread
– and upon his return to Australia, his dad would always ask him one thing,
‘Did you find any good bread?’ He often did – especially in places like California,
Italy and Germany. But it wasn’t until 2002 that he found the bread he now always takes on as hand luggage. His precious discovery was made at Pelagio’s provodore in Darlinghurst, Sydney. A simple sourdough loaf from an emerging local bakery called Sonoma.
As a sweetener to encourage dialogue, the best stories will be featured on the Sonoma website as the Story of the Month – with an ongoing prize up for grabs: a weeks supply of the winner’s favourite loaf plus another of your choice . The competition opens in late June, so stay tuned for more.
